Umbriano

Umbriano is the ideal pool deck, patio or driveway paver. Umbriano is unaffected by chlorine, salt pool water, and is resistant to de-icing salts as well. The clean, sleek, and modern lines make it the most contemporary paver available. Umbriano also has EasyClean technology allowing for quick cleanup of food and other dirty spills!

Base Requirement & Bedding Course – standard paver base specification

Handling and Installation– A vacuum placement tool (Pavemor Paver Placer) must be used when placing 16” x 16” or 24” x 24” sizes. Care must be taken to avoid tossing stones so that they bang against each other. Damage to the surface appearance can happen if handled too rough. A protective pad is required when doing the final paver surface compaction. Make sure that there is NO sand on the surface nor in the joints prior to final surface compaction. Install from multiple palettes for best color distribution.

Accent compatibility – The 8 x 16 and the 8 x 8 units can be used as a sailor course or soldier course.

Jointing Material and Joint Stabilization

  • Good: Ordinary dry joint sand
    • Better: Most polymeric sands can be used (proper cleaning is essential prior to and during activation)
  • Best:  ordinary dry joint sand stabilized by a water-based or solvent based joint sand stabilizer sealer.

Sealers

  • Product may be sealed but it is not absolutely required
  • Most concrete paver sealers can be used on this product
  • Product must be cleaned before sealing

Cleaners –Umbriano has EasyClean, a dirt and stain repellant, manufactured directly into the surface of the stone, assists in cleanup of initial spills and stains. Longer term stains may require a cleaner. Any paver cleaner from Unilock, Techniseal, Surebond or BP- Pro is acceptable.  Testing a small area is recommended to ensure acceptable results.

Special note: To avoid issues with height variance, do not use as a direct overlay on concrete.
